Our primary purpose, when it comes to marijuana, is not visual. But when it comes to a strain like this, sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy the visual experience of a stunning flower for a moment before you sit down, crush it up, and light it on fire. This Pineapple Chunk Strain, from LTRMN, is one of those buds. Fat and dense nugs are coated with a heavy layer of crystalline yellow trichomes with an abundance of fine orange hairs. The fragrance is mild, with hints of a sweetish citrus that may recall pineapple just a bit if you really, really want it to.

We picked this batch up at Serra, one of Portland’s most beautiful dispensaries. They only stock top-notch product – with the prices you’d expect to go along with such fine curation – and this Chunk is no exception.

While most strains at Serra come from the always excellent vertically integrated Pruf Cultivar, this product, from LTRMN, does not disappoint. The indica dominant crossbreed of Pineapple, Cheese, and Skunk #1 makes for a seriously potent combination with a legendary lineage. Indeed, in addition to the heavy body feel typically associated with indica leaning strains, we found that this Pineapple Chunk boasts an abundant brain buzz. As the high settles in, we struggled with a mild dryness in the eyes, but nothing that should stop the eager smoker from trying this strain out.

But one thing is for sure: heavy cerebral euphoria is consistently found at the end of a Chunk joint. In fact, for consumers who struggle with the anxiety that can come along with some headier strains, this might be one avoid. But if you’re looking for a big buzz and don’t struggle with the fear, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better choice.
