It’s always a really cool thing to see cannabis companies getting actively involved in a fundraiser, especially if it’s a cannabis cigar fundraiser where proceeds are going towards something like breast cancer awareness and research. And with it being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this fundraiser in particular will surely touch the hearts of many.
Dope Magazine released an article announcing that Leira, a leading Washington State based cannabis processor that handcrafts cannabis cigars from marijuana flowers and rosin called the Cannagar, will be participating in this cannabis cigar fundraiser in order to give back to the community in a different way.
To show support for breast cancer research and awareness, Leira has partnered with Washington based processor Gold Leaf Gardens to handcraft a one of a kind Cannagar that will be filled with 12 grams of Gold Leaf’s award winning Tangie strain, glazed in 3 grams of layered Tangie rosin, and wrapped in marijuana leaves.
This one of a kind cannabis cigar will be placed in a custom Cannador humidor, which has been custom engraved to commemorate and memorialize the event. Leira won’t be the only ones participating; other cannagars and cannabis related products from leading local processors such as Evergreen Herbal (EH) will be in full participating in the fundraiser as well. EH company’s business model was formed around a family member with breast cancer, making the cannabis cigar fundraiser’s cause very important to them.
Green-Theory, Bellevue’s first marijuana retailer and a leading name in the industry, will be hosting the fundraiser at their store at 10697 Main Street in downtown Bellevue on Saturday, Oct 22nd 2016. Donations will be accepted from 4pm to 7pm.
Proceeds to be donated to The Pink Gene Foundation and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Institute.*
